I hate commercials on television. I am one of those annoying people who has the change the channel as soon as a show goes to break. If I ever I do leave it on the station and suffer through the commercials, I very rarely paid attention. Just recently I saw a Neutrogena commercial that caught my eye and I noticed that they were using the television medium to show off their product. Hayden Panettiere (above, right) was their hired celebrity endorser. I discovered that Neutrogena in the past has also used actresses such as Mischa Barton (above, center), Angie Harmon (above, left), Mandy Moore, Kelly Preston, and they recently signed Vanessa Hudgens. By showing the All American Girl—someone who appeals to us all—to advertise their product, Neutrogena is roping in more customers. If a fan sees a celebrity using a product, they are more likely to invest their money in it as well. Celebrity endorsement, as such is not just limited to face wash either; it extends into clothing, foods, cars, and so much more. All is fair in money and celebrity endorsement.
